Twenty of the top ranked 2007 Field Champions have been invited to compete in the Buckeye Invitational. The judging format is different from regular field trials as each brace will have one dog winning the brace, the other losing. Two loses means that a dog is eliminated from the trial. All dogs will run in the first two series with a different bracemate for each series. There will be four judges who will alternate judging each series until the last series which all four judges will judge. A vote of 3 out of 4 will determine the Winner and Reserve Winner.

There will be trophies and ribbons for the Winner and Reserve Winner and prizes for all of the competitors. The Buckeye Dachshund Club hopes that you will join us on Friday to watch this exciting new event. Breakfast and lunch will be available. Friday evening after a catered dinner in the clubhouse, the Buckeye Dachshund Club is sponsoring a FREE lecture by Robert Hutchison, DVM, who is world renowned for his work in canine reproduction. He will speak about “New Methods of Controlling a Bitch’s Heat Cycle,” or as he says “bringing a bitch in when you want her in heat”. Due to space constraints, attendance is limited to those attending the field trials this weekend and BDC members. Dinner is by reservation only and assures a seat at the lecture.
