George Soros is a billionaire and founder of Soros Fund Management with a net worth is estimated to be around $27B. He has a Bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the London School of Economics. He resides in the United States but hails from Hungary and, in fact, has dual citizenship.
George Soros has predicted that the current financial situation resembles that of 2008 when there was a financial crisis. Soros has stated that the positive interest rates and the devaluation of the yuan by the Chinese government could be some of the predictors of a recession that is looming. Soros has claimed that the debt crunch hints that the situation could be even worse than that 0f 2008.

One of his main causes is ensuring that there is transparency in the resource extraction industry. He has stated that his involvement in societal causes stems from the fact that he has the opportunity to be independent, and so has an obligation to help out where he can.
